CHARLES ARTHUR TURNER (b. 1940)Born in Houston, Texas Arthur Turner completed undergraduate work at North Texas State University (now the University of North Texas) and earned his graduate degree in fine arts from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan. After spending time as an assistant professor at James Madison University in Virginia, Turner returned to Houston and began teaching at the Museum School (now Glassell School of Art).
